How the card scanner works
- Take or upload a photo. One card, a binder page or a whole pile, as long as the cards do not overlap.
- We find and identify each card. Our AI finds every card in the photo, compares it with more than 19,000 English Pokémon cards and checks the collector number to pick the exact printing.
- See what they are worth. Each card shows its current TCGplayer market price. Open any card for all finishes, Cardmarket prices and the price history, or add it to your free collection.
Tips for the best results
- Use good, even light and avoid strong reflections on holo cards.
- Lay the cards flat on a plain, dark surface.
- Take the photo from straight above, with the cards filling most of the picture.
- Remove thick or scratched sleeves if a card is not recognized.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Pokémon card scanner free?
Yes. You can scan as many cards as you like for free, without creating an account. We only ask you to slow down if you scan a very large number of photos in a few minutes.
Can I scan more than one card at once?
Yes. Put several cards in one photo without overlapping them and the scanner finds and identifies each one.
Which cards does the scanner recognize?
English Pokémon cards from Base Set up to the newest Scarlet and Violet sets, including promos. Japanese cards and other card games are not supported yet.
Do you keep my photos?
No. Photos are only used to identify the cards and are not stored after the scan. See our privacy policy for details.
